Fr. Bob Scott, CSP: A Good Stop

After 90 years of life and 63 years of priesthood, Fr. Bob has reached The Best Stop. Our prayers are with him, his family and friends, and all whom he touched.

In 2008, in celebrating 100 years of Catholic Campus Ministry at The University of Texas at Austin and the 150th anniversary of the Paulist Fathers, the UCC honored Fr. Bob with the first UCC Lifetime Achievement Award. As part of the award, an endowment was started in his name to help continue one of Fr. Bob’s beloved ministries. If you wish, you can contribute to The Fr. Bob Scott, CSP Good Stop Endowment.

We were blessed to have Fr. Bob serving at the UCC for many years. Although, he was in “senior ministry status”, he was tireless in sharing the Gospel with students on the 40 Acres. His commitment to ministry was inspirational. His sense of duty was awesome, when in 2008 at the age of 86, he agreed to serve as pastor of St. Paul the Apostle in Horseshoe Bay, TX. His witness to joy was infectious and will continue for years to come. His faithfulness as a person brought many to faith in Christ or helped them grow in their faith. May he now enjoy his eternal reward.
