Welcome Retreat 2010

Are you a freshman or transfer student? Would you like to learn more about the University Catholic Center and what it has to offer? Are you looking for a weekend filled with fun, food, faith, and friends? Well then Welcome Retreat 2010 is for you!

Beginning on Friday, September 3rd, at 5pm and running through Saturday, September 4th, at 1pm, the UCC will be holding its annual Welcome Retreat sponsored by the organization STRONG. On this retreat we have a few talks, plenty of activities, lots of games, great music, and wonderful food!

Welcome Week 2010

Beginning August 30 and running through September 6, the UCC will be having its annual Welcome Week. This week consists of various activities sponsored by various activities within the UCC; we do this so that you can get to know our organizations better and decide which ones you want to join.

The following is the schedule for Welcome Week 2010:

Monday (August 30) - Casino and Hot Dog Night starting at 6:30pm; sponsored by Catholic Longhorns For Life (CLFL) and Knights of Columbus.

Tuesday (August 31) - Dobie Dinner and Karaoke beginning at 6:30pm; sponsored by University Graduates And Professionals (UGAP) and Prism

Wednesday (September 1) - Praise and Worship starting at 7:00pm; sponsored by CFC Youth and CIW

Thursday (September 2) - Bunco Night followed by Adoration stating at 6:30pm; sponsored by Mu Epsilon Theta and Schoenstatt

Friday (September 3) through Saturday (September 4) - Welcome Retreat starting at 5:00pm and ending around 1:00pm the next day; sponsored by STRONG

Monday (September 6) - Labor Day  BBQ; sponsored by Lambda Omega Alpha (contact Lambda President Art Torres at art.torres@mail.utexas.edu for more information)

New Translation

Cardinal Francis George, OMI, Archbishop of Chicago and President of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), has announced that the full text of the  English-language translation of the Roman Missal, Third Edition, has been issued for the dioceses of the United States of America.

The use of the third edition of the Roman Missal enters into use in the dioceses of the United States of America as of the First Sunday of Advent, November 27, 2011.

FALL 2010 MASS TIMES

As of August 22nd, we have officially moved back to our Fall schedule.

Masses will be held at:

9:00am
11:30am
5:00pm
8:00pm

Daily Masses:

MWF - 12:05pm
TTh - 12:30pm

Reconciliation will follow both Monday and Tuesday daily Masses or will be by appointment.

Office hours are 9am-5pm
Building hours are 9am-9pm
