Taking the first step to exploring becoming Catholic can be difficult, but we’re here at the University Catholic Center to walk with you on this journey of faith.
In the Catholic Church, the process of becoming Catholic is known as the “Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults”, usually abbreviated as “RCIA”.
Those seeking a deeper relationship with Christ through membership in the Roman Catholic Church are guided through the RCIA process. This year-round process always welcomes new participants. Fully initiated Catholics are always needed to serve as sponsors for those interested in becoming Catholic.
