Read Bishop Vasquez’s remarks to UT Faculty and Staff during an October luncheon.
You might think the UCC is just for students, but we invite faculty and staff of the University of Texas at Austin to visit us all year round!
Need a break from your workday? Try attending daily Mass at the UCC. You might even see some familiar faces. Consider attending Sunday Mass here regularly or on occasion. Bring your family! Students love to see that their professors and mentors can be people of God and bleed burnt orange at the same time.
Wish you could connect with us more frequently? The UCC offers a special Christmas gift to faculty and staff who register with us. Join our flockNote network or contact Rosa Marroquín to get on the list!
Have some expertise you’re willing to share? We are currently seeking active and retired faculty and staff who may be interested in giving presentations at the UCC. We are developing a whole-community speaker series as well as scheduling faculty/staff lunches. How have you lived out your faith while working on a secular campus? What does Catholicism have to do with engineering, business, or journalism? Your insights can inspire the next generation of Catholic leaders.
Looking for volunteer opportunities? Our marriage preparation program always seeks couples who can give talks or simply help with logistics during our two weekend Marriage Prep Workshops. Volunteers at the Austin State Supported Living Center, our liturgical ministers, and the helping hands at Micah 6 Ecumenical Good Pantry are all ages. Our hospitality and general volunteer groups can always use extra help.
The UCC serves all Longhorn Catholics, including the older ones who educate new generations. Consider the UCC a part of your working and spiritual lives.
