What is Longhorn Awakening?
Longhorn Awakening is a weekend-long student-let retreat hosted by the University Catholic Center and takes place once every semester. Longhorn Awakening is an opportunity to grow closer to the community, grow closer to God, and learn more about the Catholic faith, and for many--experience a spiritual renewal. No matter your religion or denomination, no matter where you are in your faith journey--whether you have been Catholic all your life, are just learning about Catholicism, or fell away from the Church, all are welcome to attend Longhorn Awakening!
Why is it called Longhorn Awakening 76?
The first Awakening, Longhorn Awakening 1, was done in the Fall of 1989! We are blessed to host the 76th edition this spring semester, and look forward to many more.
When and where is the retreat?
Longhorn Awakening 76 will be held March 1st - 3rd, 2024, at Eagle's Wings Retreat Center in Burnet, TX. More information to come upon registration.
