The LCC is here to help all students be a part of the UCC community! If you are interested in joining a student group or have any general student questions, reach out to the LCC president, Joe Zaghrini, at email@example.com.
Dear UT Catholic community,
As our ministry grows, it's good to take a step back and reflect on our year. This year, the Longhorn Catholic Council sought to create a unified faith community through social and spiritual events. But we realized we can’t do this alone.
As a result, we’ve incorporated committees into the LCC’s permanent structure. These at-large members of the LCC need not have any other involvement at the UCC. You don’t need previous experience in ministry, or in anything for that matter. The only formal requirement is a passion for ministry and growing our faith community.
In this first year, we will be challenged. I can't promise smooth sailing. We will encounter obstacles. It’s not going to be easy. But despite the challenges, despite the obstacles, we have an opportunity to build a faith community that will serve countless future students of the university.
When I was in high school, the president of our school used to have a saying: "To whom much is given, much is expected." And it’s clear to me that, from this amazing university and our growing faith community, we have been given much.
We’ve been given direct encounters with Christ just seconds from our campus. We’ve been given an atmosphere where virtuous friendships flourish. We’ve been given a place to grow in our relationship with Christ.
It's time to show that love to others.
If you’d like to be a part of this mission, I encourage you to learn more about the positions and to apply. With your help, we can bring Christ to UT's campus.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
