What do we do during lent?A renewed focus on prayer, fasting, and almsgiving during Lent can foster growth and appreciation within our faith and spiritual journeys.
Jesus was led by the Holy Spirit into the desert, where he fasted for forty days and was subject to temptation by Satan. To honor this sacrifice and conquering of evil, Catholics and other Christians aside the season of Lent to refocus on Jesus as we look ahead to his death on the Cross and rejoice over his miraculous return and resurrection.

PRAYER
- Stations of the Cross are prayed in the Holy Spirit Chapel on Fridays at 5:30pm. Prayer booklets will be provided. March 7 April 4 April 11
- Commit to 30 min of daily prayer. See our building hours for chapel availability
- Attend Mass an extra day or two outside of Sunday
- Pray the Rosary
- Pray the Examen prayer at the end of your day
- Read the daily Mass readings each day
- Visit the Lord in the Blessed Sacrament
- Pray the Liturgy of the Hours: Morning and Night Prayer
- Return to the Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession)

ALMSGIVING
Lenten Donation Drive- support the UT Outpost!
Drop donations off in the bin located near the front desk. Items most in need include toothpaste, tooth brushes, haircare, feminine care, and deodorants.
Serve locally. The UCC hosts a number of ongoing local volunteer opportunities.
Nearby pregnancy resource centers, Community First! Village, Mobile Loaves & Fishes truck ministry
Donate the money you are not spending on eating out / coffees to a local nonprofit
